The headboard is nice enough--simple and practical. I bought it because I didn't want my girls hitting their heads on the bare wall behind the bed. The headboard legs are quite tall and ugly black metal, about 3' 10" tall and cannot be shortened without hacksawing; there are screws to secure the legs to the bed, but it seems to be designed for metal beds. If you have a wooden bed you might consider using replacement wooden legs.

Beware with the colour headboard you choose! My box said "pink duck" and ended up being dark (hot) pink. Fortunately for Target I don't mind, but it might be a big problem for someone else.
